August's theme, 'Ingenious Inventions,' focuses on the implements and instruments that pioneers used in their regular routines. The 19th century brought much innovation and ingenuity in the realm of technology, with many new time- and labor-saving devices produced to simplify work and home life. These devices made their way to the Arizona Territory as well—a boon to pioneers beginning their new lives in Prescott! Visitors will have the chance to see a number of these inventions at the Museum and try their hand at one or two themselves–including the convenient (and fun!) corn-husking machine.
