This June, the Granite Mountain Hotshots Commemoration Team will host a public memorial in honor of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire ten years ago, on June 30, 2013. The public memorial takes place at the Yavapai County Courthouse in Prescott, on June 30, at 3:00 pm. Invited speakers include, Prescott Mayor Phil Goode; City of Prescott Fire Chief, Holger Durre; Department of Forestry and Fire Management State Forester, Thomas Torres; Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs; and Ryder Ashcraft, son of fallen Granite Mountain Hotshot Andrew Ashcraft.
