PRESCOTT — On part of the sprawling ranch that the Stringfield family has owned for five generations just north of downtown Prescott, the first phase of a new $100-million, 700-acre master-planned community is underway. Stringfield at Granite Mountain will ultimately include more than 250 private home lots ranging from one to three acres with customizable options like fencing around the property and "steel toy shops" for boat or vehicle storage, according to the Stringfield website. Bordering the Prescott National Forest, the development also connects to Prescott's 56-mile Circle Trail, the last mile of which is in Stringfield.
